Community generosity shines through

We’re so grateful to everyone who contributed to Shoalhaven Anti-Poverty Committee’s Nourish and Nurture Drive. Your support helps make a real difference for people doing it tough across the Shoalhaven.

The Shoalhaven Anti-Poverty Committee has concluded its 2025 Nourish and Nurture Drive, collecting forty-eight boxes of hygiene and non-perishable food items to support individuals and families experiencing hardship across the Shoalhaven region.

Thanks to the generosity of the local community, the donations will be distributed to Nowra Community Food Store, Shoalhaven Homeless Hub, Safe Waters Community Care and the Ulladulla Community Resource Centre. Each organisation plays a vital role in assisting people facing poverty, homelessness and financial stress.

“We are deeply grateful for the incredible generosity shown by the Shoalhaven community. Every item donated helps restore dignity and provides much-needed relief to those doing it tough. The success of this drive reflects the compassion and community spirit our region is known for.” said Committee member Maxine Edwards

The Shoalhaven Anti-Poverty Committee extends its thanks to all individuals, businesses, and community groups that contributed to the initiative. Their support ensures that essential assistance continues to reach those most in need across the region.
