Never Too Busy to Welcome You

Highlights from the first three months of 2022

Shoalhaven Neighbourhood Services is a warm and welcoming place where everyone is welcome. The organisation operates a Social Support program for older people and people with a disability, and two Neighbourhood Centres, one in Nowra and the other in East Nowra.

In the first 3 months of 2022 our Social Support team provided 973.4 hours of support to 42 people. This support was tailored to their needs and helped them continue to enjoy doing the things important to them.

In that same 3-month period our Neighbourhood Centres supported 985 people. The Community Services team provided a diversity of services and supports including information and referral, a free playgroup, exercise activities, advocacy and support, room hire, access to computers, the internet and shower facilities, and much more.
